A wooden Koi puzzle that I designed and made many years ago in my 3D Modeling class. The entire fish is made of wood with no glue or nails to hold it together. The pieces fit together like a puzzle and you can take it apart or put it back together anytime. Each scale and segment of the body has a flexible joint so the fish can change positions and swim.
I initially made the design in Maya, then I vector traced each piece in Illustrator before using a laser cutter to create each piece on wood. The lotus is a modified version of an existing origami design.
